AMSOIL Industrial WAY LUBE Way & Slide Lubricant is a low-sulfur, low-acid oil designed to resist emulsification and provide superior coolant compatibility in machining operations. It contains special friction modifiers to help prevent slipstick chatter in the feed of a machine tool, reducing the friction between the carriage and the slide ways while the tool is stationary, which helps prevent the carriage from surging as the feed begins and then hesitating while the drive catches up.
